Mountain Adventures!

We took a little trip up to Wallowa Lake, Oregon after Chase got off work on Tuesday. It is located in NE Oregon and was gorgeous! We only spent one night, but we had many adventures...

Chase chomped a deer..........and I ate another as a dainty snack. (These deer roam the area around the lake and are super tame. I guess they let you pet them....we ate them instead.)

Beautiful scenery......

....but strange people.

We decided to take an alternate route home, and we were presented with some gorgeous views!

Chase posed by the sign of his employer--the US Forest Service. This was near the entrance for the Hells Canyon Overlook, which was a beautiful vista of the Snake River Valley. Did you know that this gorge is the deepest river gorge in North America? NOW YOU KNOW!

P.S. We saw a baby bear cub right on the highway. It lumbered off the road before we could get a picture, but it was SO cute and so little!

Weirdos. :) Looks like fun!! And your Chase's job sounds more like a boys week of camping and playing than real work...

I love Wallowa lake. I am so glad that the deer were so tasty at this time of year. I hope you saved some for the rest of us.=)

I'm not seriously surprised either. Well, that something went wrong. That is happened to be that their car blew up? That surprised me a little! =) They went with the Wolfgram's (who own the following week on the houseboat, that's why they got two weeks instead of the usual one) and the Adamsons. How are things in Idaho?!

Megan, I hope that you check this. I have been gone so I do not know if I am too late with the info. We like to camp at Cape Lookout State Campground out of Tillamook. It is so pretty around there and pretty close to lots of locations on the coast. Hope you guys have fun and I had fun with you here too. It definately breaks up the monotany of life. I do not know if I spelled that correctly, oh well. See ya.
