Here are the happenings from February. One VIE (Very Important Event) took place, but otherwise it was a pretty mellow month.
Harper loves to ride this bike from G&G Fly, but still only manages to go backwards. So we frequently find her in a predicament such as this.

Playing at G&G Fly's house after Sunday dinner. What a happy clan!

Once again, she has reversed herself into a predicament.

Can't remember what she was eating and why she had purple stuff on her face. A sugar cookie, maybe?

Joseph, one of the kids I babysit, and Harper...contained.

This was the VIE of the month. Our 5th anniversary on Feb 18th. We went to a delicious restaurant called Epi's in Meridian. It's Basque food (Boise has a large Basque population) and it was absolutely fantastic. If any of you are in the area ever, and have some $$ to drop on a nice meal, stop here! You will never regret it! And to my darling hubs...Happy Anniversary! Somehow we have managed to make it through these 5 rough years. Actually, nothing rough about them. We make marriage look easy. I love you.

Workin out...folding socks. Such a babe.

So I guess I'll post an update of our lives. We do have a few things going on at the moment. Waaaaay back in November (or somewhere around there) we accepted a job with a company called Electronic Data Solutions. Located in Jerome, ID. Nope. Not Boise. Not even that close. Almost 2 hours away. It was a tough decision, but ultimately that job provided more stability and long-term-ability (I know, made up word) than his Forest Service job. But he loved his Forest Service job and especially the people he worked with and for. And we LOVE Boise and our house and being close to family and our ward...the list goes on. But after A LOT of praying and thinking and making pros and cons lists, we decided this was right for us.
The crazy part is that we still haven't moved to Jerome. Chase started there mid-January and has been commuting every day. 1 hour 40 minutes. Each way. Everyday. That's commitment! He's been doing that for about 2 months and will do it for probably 2 more weeks and then we'll finally be in Jerome/Twin Falls. I'm sure he's ready to be done spending almost 4 hours of his life everyday in the car. And I'm certainly ready for him to be home more. So is Harper. So even though we're going to miss Boise and everything and everyone here, it's time. Time to see each other more than 2 hours a day. We're sad to move but excited to see what Jerome/Twin Falls has in store for us. We'll be there by the end of this month. Come see us!

Another biggie, my parents moved to CALIFORNIA! Yes, it's true. Just when we're moving 2 hours closer to Utah, they up and move. Were they trying to send a message? Don't think so. My dad took a job with Apple...it's a great opportunity for him. He started the beginning of January and they just finally got into their beautiful house in Acampo, CA. (Near Elk Grove, Sacramento area.) Now I just need to find cheap flights and get my little self out there! This girl needs some sunshine!

The rest of our lives are just normal. Loving watching our little girl grow and learn. It's amazing the things she's learned and how she's developed, especially the last 2-3 weeks. It almost seems like she's become a little girl all of a sudden. The baby traits are quickly disappearing. Makes me sad, but she's so darn cute and smart...so I can't be too sad. She's finally crawling, but she really prefers to cruise around the room scaling furniture. She loves to ride her bike (in reverse) and use it as a walker. She really loves to read and I love to indulge her. Her father calls us nerds, but we don't care. Sticks and stones. She also loves to play outside (good thing, or her dad might disown her) and giggles in her stroller. And then falls asleep. It's glorious. She's become quite the talker and has the cutest little voice. She says a few words (perhaps only decipherable to me) but I can tell she's just ready to explode with more. She mimics words and sounds pretty well and I think words/sentences are just going to spew forth anytime! She's a genius, I tell ya!

So that's us. PLEASE come visit us in Jerome/Twin Falls. (Can you tell we haven't quite figured out where we're going to live? YIKES!) We need family. We need friends. But we're happy and feel blessed beyond measure.

**Sorry for the novel. I really wasn't planning on doing that. But while I'm in the blogging mode I gotta get it all out. It might be 3 months before I do it again!**

Somebody turned FIFTY!

My dear old pa turned 5-0 this year!  We (his wife and children) threw him a surprise party at his all-time favorite restaurant, El Tenampa, in Nampa, Idaho.  We'd been discussing it for a couple months and I think we were all pretty convinced he had sort of figured it out because of...ahem...a few siblings' slip-ups...ahem...Karli.  But apparently his old age helped our cause.  We arranged to have some of his closest friends and family already at El Tenampa and then he met us there and we yelled, "SURPRISE!" and he was! It was perfect!  Good food...good friends...good Dad.

We love you Dad!  Happy Birthday!  Can't wait to celebrate the big 1-0-0 in the same fashion!

Oh boy, does Harper love her Papi...and vice versa.

 Father & Son.  So sweet!

 True?

 Best family ever

 Cutest parents.  Love them.

4 Generations

Somebody turned ONE!

Well I'm SO far behind, but there are a few things I must document....

such as...

our little Harper turning the big number ONE.  I can't even believe I have to utter such an age. (Even almost 3 months later!!)  I'm part of the cliche mommy group that can't believe their baby has grown so much so quickly.  But alas, we have reached this milestone and we sure do love our one year old girl!
Here she is with Great Grandma Williams after Christmas....sick.  So sad.

Playing with Daddy...getting ready for the trek to G&G Williams' house in Utah.

And here's the birthday girl on her big day...December 26th!  This girl doesn't like to get messy (she is her mama's daughter) so she was quite hesitant at first to dig into her chocolate cupcake.  I had to give her the first bite and then she slowly got going.

This is her hesitating...wondering if the mess is worth it.

Then she decides that it is.

 Mama & Baby...er...Girlie

Daddy & Daughter

We sure do love our Harper-Lulu.  She has the sweetest disposition and is usually just so content to just sit and read books (her FAVORITE activity!) or play and babble to herself.  As of her 1st birthday she still wasn't crawling or walking on her own.  (She is now...well not walking on her own yet, but close.)  But you can see her figuring things out and thinking about what we're saying and trying to communicate with us with her cute little voice and "language".  She's pretty much a mama's girl at this point, but is usually pretty happy to go play with other people.  But when it comes to naptime or bedtime...I must be around.

Harper, we love you.  Thank you for bringing us joy beyond imagination.  Happy Birthday baby girl!
